Stand Up Paddle Boarding is for everyone.

Newcastle Stand Up Paddle Club is all about the love of the sport.

With its roots in Hawaii, Stand Up Paddle Boarding is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world.

Newcastle SUP Club has evolved over the past few years from being a local Stand Up Paddle Club around the Newcastle beaches to incorporating events into their annual calendar.

Social Flat water paddles and local surf comps around the Newcastle beaches and waterways were the focus for the club and its members.

However over time the club realised the members were more inclined to enjoy short weekends away as a club over organised monthly activities which were proving to be less popular due  to family commitments and their busy lives.

The focus for the club has shifted with extending our two major events to a broader audience

The Port Stephens SUP Challenge and The Scotts Head Paddle Games have drawn interest from the SUP community Australia wide.

Our local members enjoy the benefits of short weekends away held 3 times per year and the weekly Hump Day surf mornings.

With 45 members and growing NSUPC is Newcastle’s first and only Stand Up Paddle Board Club. With its first meeting 2011 at the iconic Dixon Park Surf Club, NSUPC has always been about connecting the SUP community.

NSUPC members come from all backgrounds, from teenagers to over 70’s, and from right along the Hunter coast line.
